The choices for putting together a solid bedroom can be confusing at times, but by knowing what is out there you will be more likely to make the right selection. Fortunately, children and students usually do not worry too much about getting a matching set. In fact, all they usually want is a place to sleep. Kids have always loved the bunk setup (although girls do love the canopy), while students are usually partial to the captains or loft setup. The reason for this is the extra storage space. However, adults usually want the full matching set. This includes the dresser and nightstand furniture. They are usually made from fancy woods, like cherry, maple, oak, or pine. When this is the case, the bed frame can be a simple traditional piece or you can get a fancier sleigh type. The headboard then can be padded with leather or have tufts and be upholstered.

Don't forget about daybeds, either. These little beds are perfect for filling up that extra room that no one permanently uses. Guests can still have an excellent night while sleeping on it, too. It also works as a great bed for kids.
As for what mattress to get, the best hands down is the memory foam kinds. They are more expensive for a reason, and that is because the comfort they offer is unparalleled.
